Creating a Password Reset Account

1.       Open an internet browser and go to http://passwordreset.ok.gov. Select Sign Up for Service to configure your password reset account if you have not done so already.

2.       Enter your email address and click the Next button. NOTE: OKDHS employees will enter their UPN of U#####@okdhs.org instead of their email address.

3.       A Sign In page will appear. Enter your login password and click the Sign in button.

4.       You will be prompted to set up this account for additional security verification. Click the Set it up now button.
If you select “set it up now” and a “don’t lose access to your account!” screen appears, your password reset account exists. Skip the following steps and go to “Reset Your Password” section.

5.       An additional security verification screen will appear. Select Authentication phone and your country or region. Enter a phone number to be used for verification and select a verification method. When finished, click the Next button.

6.       After you have been verified, click the Done button.

7.       Next, you will be prompted to confirm your current password. Click the re-enter my password button.

8.       Enter your password again and click the Sign in button.

9.       You will receive a second verification request.

10.   After your verification, the “don’t lose access to your account!” screen appears. You will need to set up at least two authentication methods.

11.   After you have completed at least two authentication methods, click the finish button.

12.   You have now created your Password Reset account.

 

Reset Your Password

1.       Open an internet browser and go to http://passwordreset.ok.gov. Select Reset My Password to reset your password for your workstation and/or email account.

2.       Enter your email in the User ID field and enter the displayed CAPTCHA in the second field. Then click the Next button.
NOTE: OKDHS employees will enter their UPN of U#####@okdhs.org instead of their email address.


 

3.       Select the “I forgot my password” option and click the Next button. If you select “I know my password” but still can’t sign in, this means you have been locked out of your account.

 

4.       Select one of the authentication methods, enter the applicable information and follow the prompts.


 

5.       After completing an authentication method, you will be prompted to select a second authentication method. Select another authentication method, enter the applicable information and follow the prompts.

 

6.       After you have completed both authentication methods, enter a new password in both password fields and click the Finish button.

 

7.       You will see the following message when your password has been reset.
